1. Content of the initiation :
The BASIC DIVER introduction course is the first step in learning to dive.
An SSI instructor teaches you the basics of the technique and theory necessary to safely take your first steps in the underwater world.
This initiation to diving lasts 2h30; half an hour of explanations followed by 2 dives:
The group consists of a maximum of 4 people.
By following this course, you will complete the first step of the following course: the first independent diver's certificate OPEN WATER DIVER.
2. Steps before the big jump :
The price
The price for this course is €125 per person to be paid online at the time of registration.

SSI profile:
As soon as you register for the course, it is imperative that you create your SSI profile on the website SSI.
⚠️ It is mandatory to fill in all the fields and to attach a photo in "identity" format.
Without a complete profile, SSI will not be able to issue your BASIC DIVER digital card.
Documents:
On your SSI account under your name, click on "Personal data" and on "Documents". Then you read and sign the responsible diver code.
Online theory:
Once these documents have been checked by us, If you want, you can discover theoritical lesson: in the "Training" tab click on "courses", then choose "BASIC DIVER".
Medical questionnaire:
To make sure you can try scuba diving, we ask you to do some health checks. To do so, please fill in this questionnaire.
If you answer yes to some of the questions, you are asked to consult a doctor to check that these points do not constitute a contraindication to the practice of scuba diving. This doctor will then fill out a certificate of medical fitness or contraindication if necessary.
You will give this completed questionnaire to your instructor on the day of the course.

3. On the day :
Please arrive at the reception desk 10 minutes before the scheduled time for the baptism. Please bring :
- the medical questionnaire to give to the instructor,
- a swimming costume and a towel,
- a pen,
- a 50 cent coin for the locker in the cloakroom.
4. At the end of the session :
You are now part of the family of beginner divers. Congratulations!
At the end of the session, you will receive a digital BASIC DIVER card, available on your SSI account.
If you wish to continue the adventure, you can register for an OPEN WATER DIVER course (first autonomous diver certificate).
With this BASIC DIVER card, you will receive a 50 € discount when you register for the OPEN WATER DIVER course and a 25 € discount when you buy equipment in our shop (diving, snorkelling, swimming).
To be certified and to benefit from these advantages, please complete your SSI profile (photo, address, phone number).
5. Cancellation :
NEMO33 reserves the right to postpone a course at the latest two days before the beginning of the course if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
You will not be able to cancel your participation unless you are medically unfit. You can of course postpone it, as long as you do so at least 48 hours before the initiation. In case of cancellation, without medical reasons justified by a certificate, the SSI course fee remains due (25 €).
